Anthurium cultivation😋😋😋😋

 The anthurium family contains hundreds of species of tropical plants that are often bright as well as year-round flowering and fruiting plants.  Anthuriums are endemic to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America.  Despite its sensitivity to heat and cold, anthurium plants are relatively strong compared to most plants and are easy to care for when kept indoors.  They are usually cut and sold as mature plants.  But they can also be grown from seed.

 1.Soil preparation.

 Anthurium prefers coarse, well-drained soil.  Take perlite, peat moss and pine bark in equal parts and apply a mixture. Alternatively, add three parts of coarse liquid such as orchid bark or lava to the pot mixture. If the anthurium is at least a year old, it may prefer an even thicker material.

 Anthuriums can only grow outdoors in USDA Rough Zones 11 and 12.  The minimum annual temperature is 40ºF (4.4ºC) or higher.  [3] Use flower pots and keep them indoors in any climate.  The ideal temperature range for anthuriums is 60-85ºF (15-30ºC).

 2.Plant anthuriums in a pot filled with 1/3 of this soil mixture.

 The anthurium should be kept in a fairly large pot.  Or its roots may rot and die.  Fill the prepared pot with 1/3 of the mixture and plant the anthurium.  Fill the extra pot mixture around the sides.  In general, the roots of the plant will grow better than the potting material.

 So start with this low-level filling to delay the need to transplant your anthurium into a larger pot.

If you are using a potting mix with a less coarse liquid or worse drainage, place one or two pebbles at the bottom of the pot to speed up drainage.

 3. Keep it in a warm or heated place as well as in a place where it is not exposed to direct sunlight.

 Anthuriums grow during the day with temperatures ranging from 80 to 90ºF (27-32ºC).  If this is not possible, the plant will usually survive indoors at temperatures above 60ºF (15.5ºC).  But the heat is much better.  [6] Avoid direct sunlight.  It can burn the plant but keep it in a bright place to encourage flowering.  A window facing south or east is a good option.  (North or east if you are in the southern hemisphere).

 Place the plant 5–8 feet (1.5–2.4 m) (1.5–2.5 m) out the window to allow for gentle sunlight.

 If the night temperature drops below 40ºF (4.4ºC), the leaves may turn yellow and growth will slow.

 If the temperature drops below freezing (32ºF / 0ºC) the plant will survive for a long time.

 Do not expose plants to direct heat and hot air.

 4.Keep the air moist.

By maintaining a temperature of 80% or more in the room, anthuriums can mimic the tropical environment with moisture.  High humidity can be obtained by placing the jar on pebbles in an aquarium or shallow tray.  If you live in a dry climate, spraying the plant weekly or daily will help it grow well.
